Now that I've gotten that out of the way, let me introduce the Younique Splurge Cream Shadow Ombre Creme. I know that the name is a bit of a mouthful, but this product has a lot of punch to it.

Packaging

The packaging for the Splurge Cream is simplistic, but beautiful. The colour is clearly labelled on the bottom of the jar, and product name boldly presented on the lid. Did I mention that I'm also a huge fan of the frosted packaging? Loving it!

Shade & Texture

'Dainty' is a beautiful silvery-lilac shade which I am totally in love with! It's silky smooth and applies like a dream.

Did I mention that there is absolutely no creasing and that the product last all day? Winning! Bonus, it took me a few days to get all of the shimmer off of my eyelids because it's longevity is that good!

Best part? This seasons trend is all about shimmery, metallic and duo-chrome eye-shadows. This eye-shadow fits in perfectly with the current trends!

Formula & Pigmentation

Firstly, this is a cream eye-shadow, as the name implies, and it feels amazing. Younique have developed an absolutely amazing formula. The Splurge Cream Shadow is silky smooth to touch and apply. Honestly, this is the best cream formula that I have ever used.

You only need the tiniest amount of product as a little of this goes a long way. I used some of the excess product off of the lid and was able to cover both eyelids with it. This is a great product to consider adding to your eye-shadow collection in regard to value for money.

The colour pay-off is amazing! The colour is rich and bold, with lots of shimmer. No opaque applications here! If you're not a fan of purple eyeshadow, Younique also offer eleven other shades to cater to your colour preferences.

YOUNIQUE - MOONSTRUCK OPULENCE LIPSTICK

Stinkin' Rich. That's what you need to be in order to own all of the wonderful make-up that your heart desires. Or that's at least the case in my situation. Recent bills and expenditures have lead me off  the path of being stinkin' rich at this point in time, but luckily for me I was gifted with a Moonstruck Opulence Lipstick from my fabulous Younique supplier, Kirsty.

I had recently been asked by Kirsty to trial the Younique range and leave honest reviews for potential buyers. In a nut shell, I get to spend my weekends testing out new make-up and then blogging about whether the product is worth your time or now. Hashtag dream job.

So this week in the mail I received the Moonstruck Opulence Lipstick in Stinkin' Rich.

'Blanket your lips in smooth colour that glides on effortlessly, provides full coverage and lasts all day without feathering'.

Packaging

What I love about this packaging is the fine detail on the neck of the lipstick tube once the lid has been taken off. Younique has done really well in keeping their packaging cohesive across their entire range of beauty products. What an effort! Hats doff to you, Younique! I also like the matte v shine elements in the packaging. The matte tube allows for a much better grip than traditional shine packaging.

Unfortunately what I didn't like about the packaging was that it was that the tube square rather than round, but that just comes down to personal preference. 

Packaging and lipstick

Shades & Textures

This particular lipstick applies really nicely, with even coverage. And if red isn't your colour, fear not! Younique also offer an additional fourteen shades in the Moonstruck Opulence range.

Formula & Pigmentation

Stinkin' rich is opaque, as the name suggests, however can be built up to create more depth of colour if required as seen below. This lippie has amazing pigmentation and looks stunning when applied.

I promised my Younique supplier Kirsty that I would give her products an absolutely honest review, and with a red lipstick I can do nothing but be totally honest. Red lipstick can be very unforgiving at times. So I took a few days to apply this lipstick in different ways to see  which would offer the best results.


SATURDAY MORNING: I used my Moonstruck Precision Pencil in Posh which is a bright pink. Now I would have used a red lip liner, however I wanted to be faithful to the brand and use their range of lip liners (which are amazing by the way) however I haven't gotten around to picking up their red lip liner which is why I went with the pink. I lined my lips and filled them with the Posh, and then went over my lips twice for maximum colour with my Moonstruck Opulence Lipstick. I then blotted my lips and went around the outside of my lips with a concealer.

One coffee and a donut for lunch and  I still have full lipstick coverage but the lipstick is beginning to bleed from my bottom lip and the corners of my mouth. The product still has a nice feel to it with no issues around dryness.

SUNDAY MORNING: I again use my Moonstruck  Precision Pencil in Posh. I lined and filled in my lips with Posh before applying my Moonstruck Opulence Lipstick. Today I only give myself a light, sheer coat of lipstick. I blot, then apply a thin piece of tissue to my lips and dust over it with finishing powder using a large fluffy brush.

The lipstick was not food or drink proof however there wasn't as much bleeding as I had experienced on Saturday. It still felt really nice on my lips and  required touch-ups throughout the day, as opposed to re-application.

MONDAY MORNING: Today I only used my Moonstruck Opulence Lipstick to apply a sheer coat, blotted. and then line my lips with concealer. Again, the lipstick was not food or drink proof (my poor coffee cup) but it did still manage to have pretty good coverage and only found myself touching up rather than re-applying.

Bleeding aside, and let me assure you that the bleeding is minimal , this lipstick has amazing colour pay off and feels silky smooth on my lips. Bonus, the Moonstruck Opulence Lipsticks are currently on sale for $19.00! Cheaper than a Revlon or L'Oreal lipstick!

Final Verdict

This is a red that I would use again, however if I'm going to be eating or drinking then I'd probably give this lipstick a pass. My Black Moon Cosmetics red lippy still comes in at #1, however the Moonstruck Opulence Lipstick does make it into my top 5 red lipsticks.

Give this range of lipsticks a go regardless. I think this formula would be amazing in pinks and browns where bleeding is not as evident.

YOUNIQUE - MOONSTRUCK PRECISION LIP PENCILS

I never buy lip liners.  Okay so that's a  lie. I own about three or four. But I can never justify buying a lip liner when I could buy myself a lipstick instead.  Unless you're wearing a bold shade, do you really need a lip liner?

The answer is yes.

Like I said, I've never really felt the need to purchase lip liners.My experience with lip liners up until this point in my life is that they often don't work and my beautiful red lipstick which I spend ages applying to get it just right ends up bleeding. UGH! So for the past few years I haven't really bothered with them, and have tried alternative methods to keep my lipstick from bleeding which have been semi-successful.

I had seen some amazing videos on Youtube earlier this year which showed me how much lip liners had transformed since 2010. Having watched other reviewers thoughts on lip liners from various brands I thought it was time to re-enter the world of lip liners this year, so with my Younique winnings I went and added three new lip liners to my personal collection.

Packaging

My one complaint, which is minimal and shouldn't be taken too serious as I haven't bought a new lip liner since 2010, is that these lip liners aren't mechanical and I will need to sharpen them as I wear down the tip. But seriously, that's my only complaint and that's just about preference.

There are five colours in the entire Moonstruck Precision collection which include a range of pinks, purples and reds. Oh and my all time favourite, 'Pouty'. Who doesn't love a good nude?

Formula & Pigmentation

When I initially received these beauties in the mail, I raced home and swatched them on my wrist. BIG MISTAKE. The staying power of these lip liners is incredible. I've seen videos where lip liner swatches haven't budged, even with the aid of make-up remover. These babes had e scrubbing my wrist that night to get them off. The staying power of these beauties has blown my mind. What have I been missing out on all of these years?

Final Verdict

As I've been writing this post I've been sipping on coffee and eating lunch. How has the lip liner held up? It's as if I haven't had any coffee goodness or lunch at all. Ladies, this is the kind of support that my bold lipsticks need! Also, may I add, Pouty is extremely comfortable and non-drying on my lips. I like this shade so much that I'm not even going to bother wearing a lipstick over the top. You know these lip liners are amazing when they become the only lip product that you need to wear!

YOUNIQUE - STIFF UPPER LIP LIPSTAINS

Winner, winner! My amazing best friend added me into a Younique group recently, just in time for a major give away which I won. Go me!

I love cosmetics. Looooooooove. Just ask my boyfriend; he's over watching me track my parcels and unpacking my goodies from the post office. Needless to say, winning a competition involving cosmetics was like a dream come true!

Back to my best friend for just a second. About a month ago we caught up and were ooh-ing and ahh-ing over each others cosmetics (because that's what we do other than drink wine). Anyway, she was applying this amazing lip product that I had never seen before. She goes on to tell me that it's a lip-stain by a company called Younique and that she is in love with it. So of course, when I won the competition I knew that I had to get one. And that small tale is how I came to be the owner of the lip stain 'Stiff Upper Lip' in 'Sleek'.

Packing

All Younique products come in very similar black cardboard packaging, with write writing and the product name identified on the bottom of the packaging.

The product packaging is clear and allows you to see the product and its colour inside. A lip applicator wand is attached to the lid, which allows for quick and easy application on the go.

Shades & Finishes

Stiff Upper Lip Lipstains come in seven different shades, with a range of pinks, purples and reds.

The only issue that I had with this product was of my own making. Sigh. My name is Bianca, and I am a lip-biter. If you do have cracked lips of tears in your skin, best you heal them up before using Stiff Upper Lip as it WILL seep into those cracks and tears and make them very, very visible. Having said that, please make sure to exfoliate your lips prior to use for maximum wow-factor.

Formula & Pigmentation

Let me just start off by saying that it has been a couple of years since I purchased I lip-stain. I don't think I have any in my lip collection, other than Sleek, at this time. I am so happy that I added this one to my wishlist though. I had forgotten how fun and easy going lip-stains can be.

The Stiff Upper Lip collection allows beauties to apply, dry, and look fabulous. What I liked most about this product is the build-ability. With one swipe of the wand I'm work-ready. With two swipes of the wand I'm ready for coffee with my girlfriends. And with three swipes of the wand, I'm ready for a night out. Coverage and versatility are no issue here, ladies. I was able to use Sleek to change up my look multiple times in a day, However, I did need to be quick with my swipes to make my look darker before the stain completely dried on my lips.

Like most lip products, Stiff Upper Lip is not food resistant, water resistant, or make-out resistant. You will need to reapply as needed ladies.
